I will be analyzing 3 different food magazine table of contents to see the common conventions and features between the magazines.
1. Food 52

-Elegant design and very basic but easy to read and still good looking .
-Photos go along with it being a food magazine and are both very good looking dishes .
- All page numbers are bigger than the text about the page and that is to draw attention to the audience to make it clear of the pages certain things will appear on .
- No clear order of the numbers surrounding the photo on the right side page .
-For the most part this Table of Contents spread is very basic and simple. There is not much that stands out to me in this spread besides its simple but elegant style.
- The colors of the food in the dish give the page color and makes the page look less bland .
2. Dessert Food Magazine

-This table of contents spread is very easy to read and understand.
- The colors of the photos go along with the color of the page number circles and table of contents title.
- Next to the page number it gives a small description of what will be shown on the pages.
- The photos on the side match the topic of the magazine .
- The pink bubbles around the page number is a good feature to add since it matches the theme of the magazine and also it makes the page numbers larger and bolder for the readers to read .
- All of the descriptions have famous chefs that will be talked about in them which can draw more attention to the readers because if they hear of someone they know and like on the page it gives a better chance of the reader continuing to read.

- All photos go along with the magazines overall theme .
- The page number color and page title color matches well with the pictures and go with the Thanksgiving theme of the magazine .
- All page numbers and page titles are easy to read, the page numbers are all underlined and the titles are written in yellow in a bigger font than the description written in black smaller font on the right side .
- On al the photos it also features the page numbers in the upper left corner that correlate with what page the photos will be featured on.
- In the right bottom corner there are more pages with what will b featured on them listed but, since the font is much smaller than the other page numbers and titles it could mean that those pages are not as important or interesting .
Throughout the three magazine table of contents I have analyzed, I've noticed that they all share similar features and conventions. In all of them, the magazines emphasize the page number in some sort of way. Also for the most part, the colors on the page go well with the tones in the pictures and the entire theme of the magazines. Also, the pictures on all the table of contents are all relating to the magazines theme and design . The fonts all also go well with the theme of the magazine and the pictures. Overall, the table of contents all share most of the same features but still have features that make them all unique in their own ways fitting the style of the magazine .
